A field of Texas bluebonnets and red indian paintbrush is a sight to behold in the hill country of east Texas. Born and raised in Texas, one of my favorite trips was to drive through that part of Texas in the late spring. My grandmother painted wonderful bluebonnet landscapes, capturing the alluring colors and rural scenes of east Texas. Focusing on those memories, I recently painted several of my own interpretations of those beautiful flowers and hillsides. Makes me a little homesick! (Images to follow)
Great new post Melanie. I look forward to seeing the originals.
